Coty Taps Revlon for New Chief Scientific Officer

Coty Inc. has announced that Daniel Ramos, former chief science officer and EVP R&D at Revlon, Inc., has been appointed chief scientific officer and EVP R&D, as of September 15, 2017.  Ramos will report directly to Camillo Pane, Coty’s CEO, and will be a member of the Coty Executive Committee.
 
Camillo Pane, CEO Coty, said, “I am delighted to welcome Daniel to Coty. Daniel brings over 20 years of successful international consumer goods R&D experience. He has a strong track record in driving growth through consumer-led innovations and in building organizational capacity and capability. Daniel has experience in both emerging and developed markets, having worked and lived in Europe, North America, Asia and Latin-America. He is entrepreneurial and has an attitude and outlook that are well aligned to Coty’s new ambition and culture.”
 
Ramos started his R&D career in P&G, first in Venezuela and then later in the U.S. and Japan, spending 11 years in increasingly senior roles, before joining RB plc where he was vice president R&D Health Care and a part of the R&D global leadership team. He then moved to Revlon as chief science officer and EVP of R&D.  His experience in the consumer goods industry spans the health, beauty & grooming, fragrance and cosmetics categories. He will be located in Coty’s R&D center of global excellence in Morris Plains, NJ.
